The Destiny of a street child

I was then in a hospital. I was worried not because of my
illness, typhoid but because of the scene before me. He
was a small boy, maybe an orphan. Oh! I was sure he was
a street boy who was sleeping covered with a blanket of
a jute sack. His clothes were shabby. He was sleeping. A
crowd was seen being approached there. I heard a person
had died there. The cry of the family reached my ear as
well as the street boy. He woke up and covered his body
with the blanket. He ran to a shop so as to get some slices
of bread. He ate up the slices of bread. He was satisfied
that day. In the evening he was hungry and angry again.
He moved here and there but all that was in vain. It was
too much for him. The hungrier he was, the more he
tightened his belt. He could not sleep even for a minute.
What an unfortunate child! Don't you think that child had
right to the basic needs like food, cloth, shelter, health
and education? Are you ready enough to help such street
children?
